Queenslander, Maitland

This style of architecture is referred to as a “Queenslander.” The roof is corrugated metal and the porch roofs curve down in a “bull-nose” fashion. Added to all this is the gingerbread woodwork on the railings, windows and doors. It’s as Australian as gum trees and laughter. Very distinctive.
