Exhibit and Opening Reception at Beverly’s in Saratoga Springs
Greg Montgomery’s series of posters and serigraphs is the longest-running and most extensive poster series of any horse-racing event in the United States. Many of the 17 "Saratoga" and “Travers” posters will be featured at Beverly’s in Saratoga Springs from July 20 through September 2. In addition to the posters, a number of Greg’s original silk screens, giclée prints, and sketches will be on display. Final designs for the 2002 Edmonds Jazz Festival Poster to be presented
For the second year in a row Greg Montgomery has been chosen to design the poster for the Edmond’s Jazz Connection in Edmonds, WA. The festival, which brings jazz greats to perform with area high-school and college students, is held each year in early summer. Edmonds is a small community on the shore north of Seattle, famous for its flowers, beaches and lifestyle. Final designs for this year’s poster will be presented to the Jazz Festival board of directors in early March. -

2001 Poster Wins Top Printing Award
In recognition of printing excellence and superb craftsmanship, the 2001 poster, “Driving Home,” by Greg Montgomery, has been given the Gold Award by the Capital District Club of the International Association of Printing House Craftsmen. This poster, printed by Fort Orange Press in Albany, New York, is the 16th in a series of award-winning posters commemorating Saratoga’s famous thoroughbred racing season and its crowning event, the Travers. -

The Colors of Racing
In August 2002, for the 133nd time since 1864, the Travers stakes race will be run at the Saratoga race course. And every year since 1986, Greg Montgomery has created a commemorative poster for this signature thoroughbred event.
