Biggest Travers Day Ever
Thank you to all who came to visit us at our booth on Travers day at the famous Saratoga race track, in Saratoga Springs, New York. Track attendence on Travers day was 66,121 — the largest ever. And even the weather was perfect. The new poster for 2003 also seems to have been a big hit. It was one of our biggest days ever. Thanks to all. (BTW: On several occasions the track ran out of posters. So, if you missed your chance to get a poster at the track, please email me. Thanks again.) -

The 2003 Travers poster is here
The 18th poster in this, the longest-running series of its kind, has just arrived. Just in time to announce what promises to be one of the most exciting racing seasons in Saratoga history. With the interest generated by the New York thoroughbred Funny Cide's possible Travers bid and the release of the major motion picture “Seabiscuit,” filmed in large part in Saratoga, this may well be a season for the record books. The 2003 Travers poster “First Race” celebrates the 134th running of the the Travers Stakes race in August and features a world-class view of a thoroughbred horse race from high in Saratoga’s classic clubhouse. The 2003 Travers poster (and the Saratoga version) is available now. Please look for it here and at selected stores and galleries in Saratoga Springs. See you at the track. -

Work nearing completion on the 2003 Travers poster
The 2003 Travers poster is about to be published. The new poster features a view of the race from Saratoga’s Clubhouse. There are many places to watch the action at Saratoga, but to my mind, the Clubhouse is the best. It is truly a grand view. Before you lay all the action, the colors, and the fashionable crowds of August. All against the backdrop of a rich green infield with its trees and hedgerows. Meanwhile, here are the designs I helped create for this year’s sailing race in upstate New York. Enjoy. -

Downhill Skiing the Subject of New Print Series
The powdery steeps of Utah's Alta and Snowbird ski resorts will be the backdrop for a new series of prints from Greg Montgomery celebrating the joys of downhill skiing and snowboarding. From curve-carving competition skiing to solo runs through giant bowls and glades, to kids and dogs and après ski, it's full of color, and full of life. And it will all be the subject of original drawings, paintings and prints during the months of December and January. Please stay tuned.
